Duties Lead food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on techniques, safety procedures, and best practices Plan menus in collaboration with management, incorporating dietary requirements and seasonal ingredients Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations Coordinate with dietary department staff to accommodate special dietary needs and meal plans Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste Ensure timely delivery of meals during service hours while maintaining high customer satisfaction Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering services Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques Background in dietary aide services or dietary department experience is highly desirable Fine dining or restaurant experience preferred to ensure high-quality service standards Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and safety procedures Join us as a Lead Cook and bring your culinary talents to life!
