Work from 6am-2pm as a breakfast Cook. Come be a part of The Lodge at Old Trail, a senior living community in Crozet! Schedule will include Friday Saturday and Sunday mornings, opportunity to pick up shifts throughout the week, and opportunity to move to full time if desired. This position will be responsible for breakfast and lunch. Our breakfast menu includes made to order eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, etc. The position will also be responsible for making lunch. This includes 2 options that change daily ranging from salads and sandwiches to pasta and tacos. We are looking for an experienced cook who is a self-starter, motivated to put out good food, and learn and grow in the profession. Someone who enjoys what they do, loves food, and wants to make good food the right way. We do our best to make everything from scratch. This is not a cafeteria setting or a warm and serve kitchen. Examples of things we serve are Beef tenderloin, duck, salmon, prime rib, from scratch pasta. Our menu changes every day. You will be cooking something different every day. No repetitive dishes here. We give our cooks room to be creative. Everyone has a say in the menu and how we do things. Willing to train the right applicant on all aspects of the role. Responsibilities include:

Preparing food while following chef-inspired recipes. Presentably plating prepared foods. Partnering with front of the house staff to ensure orders served correctly and in a timely manner. Cleaning the kitchen according to standards. Positively interacting with residents, staff, and teammates.
