The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in various aspects of food service, including menu planning and catering. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines. Assist in menu planning to ensure variety and nutritional balance. Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in all food handling processes. Collaborate with the dietary department to meet the needs of residents or customers. Provide excellent service during meal times, ensuring a fine dining experience. Handle food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, and cooking using appropriate techniques and equipment. Participate in catering events as required, ensuring quality presentation and service. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to health regulations. Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices. Experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is a plus. Knowledge of menu planning and meal preparation techniques is essential. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Understanding of food safety standards and regulations within the culinary industry. Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
