Blue Rock Inn & Restaurant | Washington, VA Blue Rock Inn & Restaurant is seeking a passionate and motivated Line Cook to join our culinary team. Nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Blue Rock is a chef-driven restaurant and boutique inn known for thoughtful cuisine, seasonal ingredients, and genuine hospitality. Working alongside Executive Chef Aaron Bachoon , this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a kitchen that values technique, creativity, and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for a cook looking to grow in a professional kitchen environment focused on quality and attention to detail. Position Overview The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing menu items according to Chef's specifications while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and food quality. Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in producing beautifully executed dishes. Responsibilities Prepare and execute dishes according to Blue Rock's recipes and standards Maintain station organization and cleanliness throughout service Assist with daily prep including sauces, vegetables, proteins, and mise en place Ensure consistency, quality, and proper plating of all dishes Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Work collaboratively with the kitchen team during service Assist with inventory, organization, and kitchen upkeep when needed Qualifications Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred Passion for food and hospitality Strong work ethic and ability to stay organized under pressure Ability to work evenings and weekends Positive attitude and willingness to learn What We Offer Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Opportunity to work in a chef-driven kitchen focused on seasonal cuisine Supportive and collaborative team environment Opportunity for growth and development Restaurant service operates: Thursday•
