Responsibilities Prepare a variety of fried foods with precision, adhering to established recipes and portion sizes Operate kitchen equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens, and food prep stations safely and efficiently Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment Assist with meal preparation, including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking techniques Support menu planning efforts by understanding dish specifications and ingredient requirements Ensure proper food handling practices are followed during all stages of food production and service Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area to promote safety and efficiency Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with fry cooking or high-volume production Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety management and sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations Ability to operate kitchen equipment confidently and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Excellent food handling skills combined with a keen eye for recipe adherence and quality control Strong teamwork ethic with the ability to support meal preparation and catering needs as required Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
