Job Description

Sous Chef / Kitchen Manager — Stone Corral Brewery | Richmond, VT Stone Corral Brewery is a beloved local institution — a scratch kitchen and craft brewery that's earned genuine loyalty from the community we serve. We're growing, and we're looking for the right person to grow with us. This is a real number-two role. You'll work directly with management, own the line, lead the team, and have a direct hand in shaping the quality and consistency of everything that comes out of our kitchen. If you're a strong cook who's ready to step into leadership — or already leading and looking for a kitchen where your work actually matters — we want to hear from you. What You'll Be Responsible For Leading and supporting a small kitchen team through service with calm authority and clear communication Executing recipes consistently and holding the team to the same standard Managing prep, par levels, and station readiness so service runs clean Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and organization to a high standard Stepping in as the lead in the kitchen when the chef is off the floor Contributing to the continuous improvement of systems, recipes, and team culture What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional kitchen experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role Someone who moves with urgency and leads by example — not by title Reliable, respectful, and genuinely accountable Strong communication skills and the ability to stay composed during a push A cook who takes pride in consistency — the same dish, done right, every time What You'll Get $22-$27/hr based on experience A kitchen that respects your time and your craft A real path to growth as we continue to build the operation A team and community that actually shows up for each other To Apply Send your resume to Johnne@stonecorral.com or apply through Indeed.
