Job Description
At Edson Hill, food is at the heart of the guest experience. We are seeking a passionate, talented Line Cook/Garde Manger to join our culinary team and help create thoughtful, beautifully executed dishes inspired by the seasons of Vermont and New England. This is an opportunity to work in a collaborative, creative kitchen where your ideas, skills, and growth are genuinely valued. From elegant fine dining service to intimate private events and seasonal menu development, you'll play an important role in delivering memorable culinary experiences in one of Vermont's most distinctive boutique properties. Our menus take a modern approach to classic New England cuisine, highlighting the incredible farms, producers, and ingredients that make this region so special. We're looking for someone who cares deeply about quality, takes pride in their craft, and thrives in a team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Prepare and execute high-quality dishes with consistency, precision, and creativity Manage and maintain your station with professionalism and efficiency Assist with daily prep and mise en place Ensure all food preparation and presentation meet Edson Hill's standards of excellence Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and receiving procedures Develop mastery of menu items, recipes, techniques, and presentation standards Contribute ideas and collaborate on seasonal menu development What We're Looking For A genuine passion for seasonally driven, delicious food Experience working as a line cook, garde manger, or chef in a professional kitchen Strong attention to detail and the ability to stay calm and focused during service Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Current ServeSafe certification preferred Experience receiving and properly storing deliveries Ability to lift 40-50 pounds Formal culinary education is welcomed but not required Why Join Edson Hill?
