Job Description

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Dietary Cooks to join our Skilled Nursing Facility. The Dietary Cook plays a vital role in preparing nutritious, appetizing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while complying with all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Morning and evening shifts are available. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and residents' physician-ordered diets Follow therapeutic diet requirements (e.g., mechanical soft, pureed, diabetic, low sodium) Ensure meals are prepared on time and served at appropriate temperatures Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, equipment, and food storage areas Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation regulations Assist with food inventory, storage, and rotation (FIFO) Work collaboratively with dietary aides, dietitian, and nursing staff Accommodate resident preferences and special requests when possible Document production records as required Qualifications Prior cooking experience required (healthcare or long-term care preferred) Knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets is strongly preferred Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines Current Food Handler Permit (or ability to obtain upon hire) Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs Reliable attendance and teamwork skills What We Offer Competitive pay (based on experience) Flexible scheduling (AM & PM options) Supportive team environment Opportunity to make a meaningful difference in residents' lives Benefits available for eligible employees (medical, dental, vision, PTO, etc.) Bothell Health Care is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer to all and of Protected Veterans.
