Friday-Tuesday, 4:30pm-1am Job Summary As a Cook (Prep/Grab‑and‑Go/Grill) in corporate dining, you'll prepare fresh, flavorful food that fuels employees throughout their workday. You'll support daily café service by producing high‑quality grab‑and‑go items, executing grill and hot food service, and completing thoughtful prep that keeps operations running smoothly. Working in a collaborative kitchen environment, you'll follow recipes, food safety standards, and production schedules while contributing to a welcoming, efficient dining experience. What You'll Do Review daily menus and production plans, and gather ingredients needed for prep, grab‑and‑go, and grill service. Prepare fresh grab‑and‑go items such as salads, sandwiches, bowls, and packaged meals, ensuring consistency and quality. Execute grill and hot food service during peak meal periods, preparing items to order as needed. Follow standard recipes and production sheets to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective food. Complete daily prep and pull schedules to support café and grill service. Utilize proper cooking techniques to ensure optimal flavor, presentation, and product quality. Apply appropriate garnishing and presentation standards to enhance visual appeal. Meet service deadlines for café rushes, grab‑and‑go restocking, and special events or catering as assigned. Maintain food safety standards at all times—keeping hot food hot, cold food cold, and following proper holding procedures. Weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients for upcoming production, using correct storage and thawing methods. Follow kitchen opening and closing procedures, including proper setup, breakdown, and cleaning. Ensure all food is properly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated to maintain freshness and inventory accuracy. Clean and sanitize cooking equipment, prep areas, and workstations according to established guidelines. Assist with training new food service team members as needed. Report equipment issues or maintenance needs to the Supervisor. Support inventory organization and document product usage or removal from storage areas. Perform other duties as assigned to support café operations. What You Will Bring ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handlers Card Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen High School Diploma/GED Physical and Sensory Requirements This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
