Job Description
•This position is located in Centralia. Must be able to work evenings and weekends: Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Are you ready to be part of an exciting retro arcade bar in downtown Centralia!? Position Summary We are looking for a professional Part-Time Line Cook to join our team at our vibrant, retro, arcade bar and restaurant in Centralia, Washington! Line Cooks will report to the Kitchen Manager and will prepare food to the exact chef's specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Simple IRA 401k plan with a 3% employer match available. Employee discount. Paid training Responsibilities Setup and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, making stuffed burgers, or preparing sauces). Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Answer, report and follow the Kitchen Manager's instructions. Some dishwashing, prep and line cooking shifts. Stock inventory appropriately. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in a high quality and timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Keep work area clean. Clean kitchen equipment, kitchen, common areas, and restrooms as assigned. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must have a good attitude and work well with others. Must have a current Washington State food worker card. At least 1 year proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook (this does not include fast food). Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiar with industry's best practices. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Direct Deposit required. Must be able to pass a background check. We do not hire job hoppers. All interviews will be scheduled through Indeed.
