The Twig is a down-to-earth café that flows between busy rushes and slower, steady stretches. We need someone who can adapt to both with grace — moving fast when needed, keeping centered and focused. This is a low-drama, high-integrity environment, and we're looking for someone who values teamwork, communication, and consistency just as much as great food. Compensation The base pay for line cooks is $18/hour . Cooks are tipped out at an average of $4-$8/hour . We assess compensation at regular intervals to make sure we are offering a competitive living wage.

REQUIRMENTS:
Must be 18 years or older. Ability to speak and read English 2 years of professional cooking experience Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure Good physical condition and endurance High school diploma or equivalent At least one weekend day of availability. Have the ability to stay self-motivated, utilizes down time effectively. Acquire a food handler's permit within two weeks of hire date. Must be reliable and dependable. Responsibilities Assess inventory to determine prep production Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat etc. Undertake basic cooking duties such as reducing sauces, parboiling food etc. Prepare simple dishes such as salads, breakfast food, sandwiches etc. in an efficient manner. Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc. Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
