Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist with menu planning by suggesting new ideas and refining existing dishes to enhance customer satisfaction. Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to health regulations. Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently managing meal preparation and plating. Maintain organization of workstations, ensuring all tools and ingredients are properly stored and ready for use. Participate in food prep activities such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients for various dishes. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely delivery of orders. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable. Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on quality and safety. Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques across diverse cuisines. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices in a commercial kitchen setting. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
