Days of work include Monday's 9:00AM to 5:00PM, Thursday mornings, and Friday's 9:00AM-5:00PM. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly by assisting in meal preparation and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring. Follow recipes and instructions from the head cook or chef to ensure consistency in meal preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all kitchen staff and patrons. Operate kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools safely and effectively. Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas. Requirements Strong organizational skills Previous experience in food preparation or as a cook in a restaurant or commercial kitchen setting is preferred. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
