Job Description

Job Overview Join our fun team! We are a family-owned assisted living facility that takes pride in creating a welcoming, caring environment for our 25 residents and our staff. We believe in teamwork, supporting one another and making every day a positive experience. We are looking for a dependable and enthusiastic Part-Time Cook to join our kitchen team. If you enjoy cooking, working with others, and preparing meals that make people feel cared for, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities Meal Preparation:
Cook, season, and prepare meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Dietary Compliance:
Follow specific nutritional guidelines, portion control, therapeutic and texture-modified diets required by residents.
Safety & Sanitation :
Maintain a clean, organized kitchen, including dishwashing, equipment sanitation, and proper food storage in compliance with state regulations.
Resident Service :
Create a pleasant dining atmosphere; serving directly to residents or delivery to rooms.
Inventory Management :
Monitor food supplies, assist with inventory, and weekly grocery shopping.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Prior cooking experience, particularly in assisted living or long-term care, is highly preferred.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Certifications :
Obtain necessary CBRF food safety training and certifications.
Skills:
Ability to work in a team , manage time, and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Initial Requirements :
TB skin test and health screening. Background Check.
Physical :
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:
Schedule:
Hours are 6AM- 2PM . Requires working every other weekend and every other holiday. 40 Hours in a 2 week period.
