Job Description
Overview The Hop Garden is seeking a passionate and energetic Cook to join our team! This role plays a vital role in the daily success of our kitchen by preparing high-quality food, maintaining excellent cleanliness and safety standards, and working collaboratively with the kitchen team. This role requires great attention to detail, efficient time management, and food handling expertise to ensure our guests receive a fantastic dining experience. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following established recipes and menu guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, storage procedures, and sanitation practices. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Support catering functions by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining quality standards. Arrive on time for prep and work efficiently to ensure all ingredients and food stations are ready for service. Assist with kitchen inventory, reporting low stock levels to the Lead Cook and ensuring supplies are organized and stored properly. Experience Prior experience working in a fast-paced food service environment such as restaurants or catering is highly desirable, but not required. Demonstrated knowledge of food safety management, including understanding safety standards in production and proper food handling procedures. Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations.
Pay:
$21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 30.0 per weekBenefits:
