Job Overview We are seeking dedicated and skilled Prep and Line Cooks to join our culinary team. The ideal candidates will play a crucial role in food preparation, ensuring that all ingredients are ready for cooking, dishes are prepared to standard and that the kitchen operates smoothly. This position is vital for maintaining high standards of food quality and safety in our restaurant environment. Duties Prepare and chop ingredients for various dishes, including vegetables, meats, and sauces. Assist in the cooking process as needed, ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation, timely meal preparation and service. Set up, stock and monitor stations to have the necessary supplies and ingredients before and during service. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Experience Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential for maintaining hygiene standards. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff and management. A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced kitchen environment is crucial for success in this role.
