Job Description
Hudson Hospital is seeking a Cook to join our Nutrition Services team. In this role, you will prepare, cook, and serve attractive, nutritious, and high-quality meals to patients, visitors and team members. The ideal candidate is committed to food safety, customer service, and delivering exceptional customer experience. The cook position is responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to established recipes and production standards.
- Ensure food is prepared safely and in compliance with sanitation and food safety guidelines.
- Practice proper portion control and presentation standards.
- Adjust recipes as needed to meet production requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
FTE:
0.8; 32 hours per weekWork Schedule:
Shift schedule between 530am-730pm; Shifts Monday-Friday will vary based on business needs; Required to work every other weekend.Required Qualifications:
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Ability to safely handle food, equipment, and supplies.
- Ability to calculate recipe adjustments accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
- Demonstrates professional appearance and grooming standards.
- Commitment to providing positive customer service experiences.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- One year of food service cooking experience preferred.
