Bistro Cook Courtyard by Marriott Madison East Madison, WI Job Details Part-time $13 - $15 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Pre-cooking preparation Fine dining experience Cooking Barista experience Attention to detail Full Job Description Job Summary The Bistro Cook plays a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and beverage service, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor. Pay starts at an hourly base of $13/hr + tips. Shifts usually start at 6:00 am until 10:30 am, or until closing clean up is completed. Serving hotel guests at the Bistro by making food and drinks. This includes all aspects of food preparation, service and cleanup, stocking, taking orders, wiping down tables, engaging in a meaningful way with hotel guests, cleanup and preparation for the next day. Ultimately, you will ensure a pleasant and comfortable experience for our guests during their stay with us. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring timely and correct delivery to guests Assist with food preparation and presentation to uphold high standards of quality and presentation Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a lively and engaging atmosphere Manage table settings, cleanliness, and overall dining environment to enhance guest experience Support catering and banquet events by assisting with setup, serving, and cleanup as needed Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Qualifications Prior experience in fine dining or food service environments is highly preferred Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse guests Experience in serving, food preparation, or catering roles is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Previous banquet or hospitality experience is a plus Barista experience or familiarity with coffee service is beneficial but not required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail A positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn are essential Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences!
