Full-Time Pizza Cook About Cervato Pizza Cervato Pizza is bringing a fast, fresh, and highly interactive pizza experience to the Madison Public Market. Guests order their pizza at one end of the line, select their toppings as they move through the station, and watch their pizza being prepared right in front of them.Our goal is simple:
great pizza, great hospitality, and incredibly fast service. Using rapid-speed cooking technology, pizzas will be cooked and ready for the guest in less than two minutes. We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and detail-oriented Full-Time Pizza Cook who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality, cleanliness, and a positive customer experience. Position Summary The Full-Time Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing, assembling, cooking, and serving pizzas according to Cervato's recipes and standards. This position works directly with customers throughout the pizza-building process and plays an important role in creating a fun, efficient, and welcoming experience. The ideal candidate is comfortable working quickly without sacrificing accuracy, enjoys interacting with customers, follows recipes and procedures consistently, and takes pride in keeping their workspace clean and organized.Essential Responsibilities:
Pizza Preparation & Cooking Prepare pizzas according to Cervato recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations. Accurately build pizzas based on each customer's selections. Prepare and portion toppings, sauces, cheeses, and other ingredients. Operate rapid-speed pizza cooking equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor cooking times and ensure pizzas are properly cooked and presented. Maintain consistent portion sizes and product quality. Communicate with the kitchen team to ensure orders move efficiently through the line. Ensure every pizza meets Cervato's standards for appearance, quality, and taste. Customer Service Provide friendly, welcoming, and professional service to every guest. Interact with customers while preparing their pizza and toppings. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, toppings, and allergens when appropriate. Make recommendations and assist customers with their selections when needed. Maintain a positive attitude during busy periods and high-volume service. Help create an engaging and enjoyable experience for guests watching their pizza being made. Speed & Efficiency Work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment. Maintain an efficient pace while moving customers through the pizza line. Prioritize multiple orders while maintaining attention to detail. Communicate clearly with coworkers during busy service periods. Maintain speed without sacrificing food quality, accuracy, or hospitality. Food Safety & Cleanliness Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements. Follow proper handwashing, glove use, food storage, and food handling procedures. Maintain clean and sanitary food preparation areas throughout the shift. Keep ingredient containers, utensils, equipment, and workstations clean and organized. Monitor food temperatures and properly store food products. Prevent cross-contamination and follow allergen safety procedures. Complete cleaning and sanitation duties according to established checklists. Maintain a clean and professional appearance. Inventory & Product Management Assist with daily and weekly inventory counts. Monitor ingredient levels throughout each shift. Communicate low-stock items or potential shortages to management. Assist with receiving, stocking, rotating, and properly storing food products. Follow FIFO (first in, first out) procedures. Help minimize food waste by following proper portioning and preparation standards. Notify management of damaged, expired, or unusable products. Opening & Closing Duties Complete assigned opening and closing responsibilities. Prepare ingredients and stations for service. Stock the pizza line and kitchen as needed. Clean and sanitize equipment and work areas. Properly store food and ingredients at the end of service. Complete assigned side work and checklists before leaving the shift. Teamwork & General Responsibilities Assist other team members when your primary responsibilities are complete. Be willing to jump into other areas of the operation when business needs require it. Follow all Cervato policies, procedures, recipes, and service standards. Attend required training and meetings. Communicate effectively with management and coworkers. Maintain a professional and positive attitude. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & SkillsRequired Previous restaurant or food-service experience preferred. Strong customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established procedures. Ability to maintain consistent food quality and portion standards. Strong organizational skills. Commitment to cleanliness and food safety. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers. Dependable and punctual. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and professional during busy periods. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of a restaurant position. Preferred Previous pizza, line cook, or fast-casual restaurant experience. Experience working in an open-kitchen or customer-facing food environment. Experience with high-volume food production. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards. Experience with inventory or food preparation systems. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand and walk for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, lift, and carry. Lift and carry food products, boxes, and supplies. Work around ovens, cooking equipment, and other kitchen equipment. Perform repetitive food preparation and assembly tasks. Work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods. Maintain a clean and safe work area throughout the shift. Schedule This is a full-time position . The employee must have availability that aligns with the operating hours of Cervato Pizza and the Madison Public Market, including the ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and during special events as needed.Pay:
$15.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 - 40.0 per weekBenefits:
