TITLE:
Culinary Cook Location:
Marinette, WI - Northland Lutheran Retirement Community Hours of operation: 5:30AM to 6:30PM (24-30 hours a week) With over 35 years in business BSG Maintenance INC. provides contracted culinary, housekeeping and laundry services in CBRFs, ALF, SNF, hospitals and other medical facilities. We are currently searching for a talented and dedicated culinary cook that has a passion for food, takes pride in a clean and sanitary work environment, and most importantly: has a strong knowledge and desire to help the elderly.
Cook Responsibilities:
Meal Preparation:
Follows standardized recipes. Prepare everything on the menu for your shift. Prep items for future meals. Follows the direction of the culinary manager on any extra duties.
Meal Cooking:
Cook and prepare meals. Must be able to read recipes/meal tickets to ensure proper distribution. Maintain proper portion control by reading and using proper utensils
Cleaning:
Maintain a clean kitchen by cleaning as you go keeping your kitchen clean and picked up at all times, washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and removing trash.
Food Storage:
Ensures food and other items are stocked and stored properly. Must take temperatures and follow the Policies and Procedures of the department. Dating all food and securing food with use by dates.
Resident Interaction:
Be polite and helpful to residents, responding to their requests and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Compliance:
Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience is a must. Ability to pass a TB Test, Drug Test and Healthcare background check. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Physical stamina and the ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours as needed.
