Duties Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children, adhering to dietary guidelines and menu plans Plan menus that incorporate balanced, appealing options suitable for various age groups and dietary restrictions Handle food with care, following strict food safety and sanitation protocols to prevent contamination Assist with food service, including serving meals in a friendly and organized manner that encourages healthy eating habits Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment at all times Collaborate with childcare staff to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences of children Manage food inventory, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed to ensure continuous meal availability Qualifications Proven experience in dietary department roles or as a dietary aide, preferably within childcare or similar settings Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling with excellent knife skills Experience with menu planning and meal preparation that meets nutritional standards for children Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous, demonstrating proficiency in food service operations Familiarity with the food industry's standards for quality and safety, including proper food storage and sanitation procedures Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary expertise helps shape healthy futures.
