Job Description

We are looking for an experienced, dependable cook who can work efficiently in a fast-paced, small town restaurant. Our kitchen serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable preparing a variety of foods and can keep up during busy meal times. Responsibilities Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch & dinner Cook breakfast items including eggs, omelets, breakfast meats, skillets, pancakes, waffles, and other breakfast favorites Prepare burgers, sandwiches, wraps, appetizers, and fryer foods Prepare home-style daily lunch specials Prepare and cook food for our Friday Fish Fry Follow recipes, portion sizes, and proper food preparation procedures Make sure meals are prepared correctly and plates are presented well Read tickets carefully, including substations and special requests Keep food properly labeled, dated, rotated, and stored Keep prep areas stocked and ready for the next shift Look ahead at upcoming specials and prep needs Maintain a clean well organized kitchen, including equipment, prep areas, coolers, floors, and work surfaces Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures Help with dishes and general cleaning Work together with servers, bartenders, and other kitchen staff What We're Looking For Previous cooking experience preferred Experience cooking breakfast is especially helpful Comfortable working a grill, flat-top, fryers, and other commercial kitchen equipment Able to work at a fast pace during busy times Dependable and able to show up on time for scheduled shifts Self-motivated and able to see what needs to be done without always being asked Able to work independently as well as part of a team Postive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed Takes pride in the quality and appearance of the food Able to stay organized and keep the kitchen clean while working Willing to learn our menu, recipes, and way of doing things Experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic and is motivated to learn!
Pay:
From $15.00 per hour
