Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking areas to uphold health standards Support meal preparation for various service periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catering events Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on food preparation and cooking Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in dish quality Familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen team members Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus for specialized meal prep tasks Knowledge of catering processes and large-scale meal preparation is advantageous Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness standards through regular cleaning routines and sanitation practices Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance Embark on a rewarding culinary journey where your skills contribute directly to exceptional guest experiences!
