Overview Join our dynamic team as a Hood Cleaning Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and optimal performance of commercial kitchen exhaust systems. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and maintaining kitchen hoods, ducts, and filters to meet health and safety standards. Your work will directly contribute to preventing fire hazards, improving air quality, and supporting the smooth operation of busy foodservice establishments. Responsibilities Perform detailed cleaning of kitchen exhaust hoods, ducts, filters, and related components according to industry standards and safety protocols Inspect systems for grease buildup, blockages, or damage, and report findings promptly Use specialized tools and equipment to safely access high or hard-to-reach areas within commercial kitchens Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and any issues identified during cleaning processes Communicate effectively with clients to schedule services and address any specific cleaning requirements or concerns Adhere to environmental regulations by properly disposing of grease and debris generated during cleaning Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, bending, and working in confined spaces Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and safety compliance Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen operations is a plus but not required; training will be provided Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for travel between job sites Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings or evenings as needed for client schedules Prior experience in cleaning or maintenance roles is advantageous but not mandatory; we value motivated individuals eager to learn Embark on a rewarding career that combines physical activity with technical skill-building!
