Job Description
Entry-Level Automotive Shop Assistant - No Experience Required Are You Someone People Can Count On? You don't need automotive experience to start—you need the right attitude and work ethic. GIC Car Clinic is looking for a dependable, hardworking Automotive Shop Assistant who takes pride in staying productive, following directions, and helping the entire team succeed. This is initially a shop-support position focused on final vehicle quality control, vehicle readiness, cleaning and organization, parts pickup, errands, and general non-repair assistance. It does not initially include oil changes, inspections, maintenance, testing, or repairs. What You'll Do Assist with final vehicle quality control and readiness Help ensure completed vehicles are clean and professionally presented Move and park customer vehicles when authorized Pick up parts and run shop-related errands Occasionally provide customer shuttle rides Keep the shop, work areas, storage areas, and outside grounds clean and organized Restock supplies and assist with general non-repair tasks Follow shop procedures, quality standards, and management instructions These responsibilities are essential to keeping our shop operating efficiently and providing customers with a professional experience. What We're Looking For Dependable attendance and punctuality Strong work ethic and willingness to stay productive Positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude Humble, coachable, and able to follow directions Careful attention to detail Pride in keeping the workplace clean and organized Ability to complete responsibilities without constant reminders Professional communication with customers and coworkers Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Comfortable driving customer and company vehicles Ability to read and write English Basic ability to use a computer or tablet Willingness to complete applicable pre-employment screening Experience in a warehouse, car wash, detail shop, restaurant, construction, delivery, school program, volunteer position, or another hands-on environment may be helpful, but it is not required.
