Position Summary The Motorcycle Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing motorcycles for guest delivery, service completion, showroom display, and special events. This position ensures all motorcycles meet dealership appearance standards and are presented in clean, polished, and guest-ready condition. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about maintaining the professional image of the Harley-Davidson brand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Wash, clean, wax, and detail motorcycles following service repairs, sales delivery, or dealership events. Clean and polish painted surfaces, chrome components, wheels, windshields, and accessories. Remove dirt, grease, fingerprints, bugs, and road debris from motorcycles. Inspect motorcycles for cleanliness and presentation quality before guest delivery. Move motorcycles safely throughout the dealership, service department, and display areas. Assist with motorcycle setup and presentation for showroom displays, events, and promotions. Maintain detailing equipment, cleaning supplies, and work areas in a neat and organized condition. Report any visible damage, maintenance concerns, or safety issues to management promptly. Follow dealership safety procedures and proper handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Support the service and sales departments with vehicle appearance needs as assigned. Maintain productivity and quality standards established by the dealership. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

Qualifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic knowledge of motorcycle care products and detailing techniques preferred. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines. Positive attitude and guest-focused approach. Valid motorcycle endorsement. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous motorcycle, powersports, automotive detailing, or car wash experience preferred but not required. Harley-Davidson dealership experience is a plus. On-the-job training provided for qualified candidates. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to push and maneuver motorcycles safely. Frequent exposure to water, cleaning chemicals, and varying temperatures. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors. Ability to operate cleaning equipment and detailing tools safely. Work Environment Work is performed in dealership service areas, detail bays, showrooms, and outdoor locations with exposure to cleaning chemicals, motorcycle noise, varying weather conditions, and a fast-paced dealership environment.
