Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Detail Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for automobiles, takes pride in their work, and enjoys transforming vehicles to their best possible condition — all while traveling to client locations. This role involves performing full-service mobile detailing, including interior and exterior cleaning, paint correction, and protective coating applications, while maintaining the high standards Dunlap Detailing is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel to customer locations with your personal vehicle to perform mobile detailing services. Perform comprehensive interior and exterior detailing. Wash, decontaminate, and prepare vehicle surfaces for correction or protection. Perform paint correction including polishing and buffing. Assist with and apply ceramic coatings. Conduct engine bay cleaning when required. Utilize steam cleaning for interiors, upholstery, and hard-to-reach areas. Maintain cleanliness and organization of your mobile detailing workspace. Properly maintain and store detailing tools and equipment in your vehicle. Follow company procedures for safe handling of customer vehicles. Document before and after results for quality control and marketing.
Required Qualifications:
Own reliable vehicle capable of transporting detailing equipment. 1+ years of professional auto detailing experience. Knowledge of detailing products, tools, and techniques. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
Preferred Qualifications:
IDA (International Detailing Association) Certification. Experience working with high-end or luxury vehicles. Experience with ceramic coating application. Knowledge of paint correction techniques and polishing systems.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Pay:
$17-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Performance bonuses for ceramic coating services. Paid training and skill development opportunities. Employee discounts on detailing services. Opportunity for advancement into a Lead Mobile Detail Technician role.
