Charles, MO Pay:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour (based on experience) Mathis Motors is seeking an experienced automotive detailer to oversee the appearance and readiness of our vehicle inventory. This position is ideal for someone who already understands professional detailing standards and can take ownership of the detailing process while helping manage inventory flow. Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Minimum 1 year of automotive detailing experience required Must understand proper interior and exterior detailing techniques Must be able to identify paint imperfections, stains, odors, and presentation issues Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check Reliable transportation Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ pounds and remain active throughout the day Strong organizational and time-management skills Responsibilities Perform professional interior and exterior detailing on dealership inventory Ensure all vehicles meet dealership presentation standards before being listed for sale Determine and prioritize which vehicles should be detailed next Help move vehicles efficiently through the reconditioning process Maintain inventory presentation across the dealership lot Stock and organize detailing chemicals, tools, and supplies Transport vehicles between vendors, repair facilities, auctions, and dealership locations as needed Apply window stickers and buyer's guides Photograph vehicles for online listings Assist with lot organization and vehicle merchandising Conduct final quality-control inspections before vehicles are offered for sale Ideal Candidate Has prior dealership or high-volume detailing experience Takes pride in producing consistently clean vehicles Can work independently without constant supervision Understands that vehicle presentation directly impacts sales Is organized, dependable, and motivated Benefits Competitive hourly pay Full-time position Opportunity for advancement Family-owned dealership environment Background check, driving record check, and employment verification will be completed prior to hiring.
