DETAILER

Job Purpose:

The Detailer at Deacon Jones Auto Group is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are meticulously cleaned, polished, and prepared for display and delivery. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of presentation and customer satisfaction expected at a high volume new car dealership.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough cleaning of vehicle exteriors and interiors, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and polishing. Inspect vehicles for any damages or imperfections and report findings to the appropriate department. Apply protective finishes to the exteriors of cars to enhance and preserve their appearance. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the detailing area and equipment. Collaborate with the sales and service teams to ensure timely and efficient vehicle preparation. Conduct quality checks to ensure all vehicles meet the dealership's presentation standards before customer delivery. Manage inventory of detailing supplies and report any needs for replenishment. Adhere to all safety and compliance regulations while performing detailing tasks.

Required Education:

High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certification in automotive detailing or related field is preferred.

Required Experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience in automotive detailing, preferably within a high-volume dealership setting. Proven track record of maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation. Experience with a variety of cleaning products and tools used in automotive detailing.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and management. Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and handle equipment for extended periods. Basic understanding of automotive systems and components to ensure proper care and maintenance during detailing. Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to company standards and procedures.
