Sanitizer American Nitrile - 2.6 Grove City, OH Job Details $20 an hour 10 hours ago Qualifications Fall protection protocols Confined space entry safety procedures Full Job Description The Sanitizer is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production and compounding equipment to support safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations. This role ensures equipment, tanks, utensils, and work areas are cleaned in accordance with established procedures, safety requirements, and documentation standards. Duties and Responsibilities Clean and sanitize production equipment, compounding equipment, utensils, and assigned work areas in accordance with approved procedures. Enter compounding tanks and other confined spaces, when required, to perform cleaning and sanitation tasks following all confined space entry procedures. Use required fall protection and harness equipment when performing tank entry or elevated sanitation work. Inspect equipment and areas before and after cleaning to verify cleanliness and readiness for operation. Complete sanitation logs, cleaning records, and other required documentation in accordance with GDP and cGMP practices. Handle cleaning chemicals, tools, and PPE safely and report any equipment issues, hazards, or deviations promptly. Work collaboratively with production, compounding, maintenance, and quality teams to support scheduling and operational needs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in industrial cleaning, sanitation, manufacturing, or a related environment preferred. Required to complete and maintain confined space entry training and harness/fall protection training. Able to follow cGMP, GDP, safety, and sanitation procedures. Able to read, write, and complete required documentation in English. Able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Able to stand, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods as needed. Demonstrates attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to a strong safety culture. Working conditions
Work Environment:
Work is performed in production and compounding areas around manufacturing equipment, tanks, and sanitation chemicals. The role requires standing, walking, bending, climbing, and entering confined spaces as needed to complete cleaning tasks. Exposure to wet surfaces, cleaning agents, noise, and varying temperatures may occur.
Safety Requirements:
Mandatory use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all site safety procedures. Confined space entry and harness/fall protection requirements must be followed when entering tanks or performing elevated work. Employees must immediately report safety concerns, hazards, incidents, and equipment issues.
Physical Demands:
Regular lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of sanitation tools, hoses, and materials may be required. The position may require remaining on your feet for 8 to 12 hours per shift.
Training:
Initial and ongoing training is required for sanitation procedures, cGMP/GDP documentation, PPE, confined space entry, and harness use.
