Bakery Production Workers assist in a variety of tasks throughout the production of bread products. All work is performed in accordance with SQF Food Safety Procedures , and job duties may change daily based on production needs.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform various assigned manual labor tasks such as grasping, lifting, moving, placing, and stacking items related to production processes. Identify, count, sort, and visually inspect bakery items. Accurately record product analysis data or counts as required by SQF Food Safety Procedures. Maintain workflow from production conveyors. Operate bakery utensils and tools with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Handle bakery ingredients in a sanitary and safe manner. Work in a safe manner at all times and maintain a clean work environment. Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy. Support and adhere to IBR Core Values . Perform related duties as assigned.
Ability to:
Perform in a friendly, courteous, and tactful manner while maintaining composure with co-workers. Stand for long periods of time; walk, move rapidly, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Perform basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and compute weights and measures. Demonstrate mental alertness while working around baking equipment and high-temperature environments (approximately 400°F ). Learn and follow safety, sanitation procedures, and department policies. Wear hats, hairnets, gloves, and other personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required. Must be 18 years of age or older . Previous experience in commercial or artisan bakery production is preferred. Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or production-line environments may substitute. Ability to work in a high-temperature environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting. Flexibility to learn new job tasks and rotate between roles as needed. Must have reliable attendance to meet production standards in a 24/7 facility. Commitment to company core values and teamwork.
