Auto Detailer Manager Gotham Auto Shine Austin, TX Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Customer communication Restoration Driver's License Attention to detail Driving Automotive buffing Full Job Description Gotham Auto Shine is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Mobile Auto Detailing Manager to oversee daily detailing operations and help maintain the high-quality standards our customers expect. This is a hands-on management position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a mobile environment, leading a team, communicating with customers, managing equipment and supplies, and personally performing high-quality automotive detailing when needed. Responsibilities Manage daily mobile detailing operations and technician schedules Lead, train, and oversee detailing technicians Perform interior and exterior automotive detailing to company standards Inspect completed vehicles to ensure quality and consistency Communicate professionally with customers before, during, and after services Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues Ensure technicians arrive on time and are properly prepared for each appointment Maintain detailing equipment, tools, vehicles, water systems, generators, and supplies Monitor inventory and ensure necessary chemicals and supplies are stocked Maintain a clean, organized, and professional mobile detailing setup Assist with scheduling and routing appointments efficiently Take photos/videos of completed work for quality control and social media when requested Help identify opportunities to upsell additional services such as paint correction, ceramic coatings, headlight restoration, and interior/exterior upgrades Ensure proper care and handling of customer vehicles Follow company safety procedures and detailing processes Help develop and improve company detailing procedures and training standards Qualifications Previous professional automotive detailing experience required Previous leadership or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of interior and exterior detailing techniques Ability to identify different paint, interior, and surface conditions Excellent attention to detail Strong communication and customer-service skills Reliable, punctual, and professional Ability to work independently and lead a team Valid driver's license and reliable driving history Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift equipment and supplies and perform physically demanding work Must take pride in producing high-quality work Preferred Experience Experience with the following is a plus: Paint correction Ceramic coatings Clay bar/decontamination Leather and fabric care Carpet extraction Engine bay detailing Headlight restoration High-end and exotic vehicles Professional detailing chemicals and equipment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate isn't simply someone who can clean cars — we're looking for someone who takes ownership of the entire customer experience.
