This is a hands-on position working alongside experienced dismantlers to safely dismantle, depollute, and recover quality automotive parts and recyclable materials from end-of-life vehicles. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, working with vehicles and tools, and being part of a fast-paced automotive shop environment.
What You'll Do:
Work as part of a dismantling team to efficiently process end-of-life vehicles Drain and properly dispose of vehicle fluids including gasoline, diesel, oil, coolant, DEF, and more using approved systems Remove batteries, tires, catalytic converters, and reusable components from vehicles Assist teammates with larger removals including engines, transmissions, doors, and suspension components Prepare, inspect, clean, and tag parts for resale and inventory accuracy Transport parts and materials throughout the yard, warehouse, and staging areas Safely operate hand tools, power tools, hoists, and shop equipment Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following safety and environmental procedures Follow OSHA standards, company safety policies, and SWPPP practices Communicate and collaborate with dismantlers, team leads, supervisors, and other departments to maintain efficient workflow
What We're Looking For:
Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment Ability to work in all weather conditions and industrial shop environments Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive interest Ability to safely use hand tools and shop equipment Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Commitment to workplace safety and PPE requirements
Preferred Experience:
Automotive service, dismantling, or industrial recycling experience Forklift experience or certification is a plus
Requirements:
