  • Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher/Food Prep to join our dynamic culinary team!
In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment while assisting with food preparation and meal assembly. Your energetic approach and commitment to food safety will ensure smooth kitchen operations, support our culinary staff, and contribute to delivering delicious, high-quality meals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced food service environment while developing essential culinary skills. Responsibilities Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and portioning ingredients under the guidance of chefs or dietary staff. Support menu planning by preparing ingredients for daily meals and special dietary needs. Follow food safety protocols diligently to prevent contamination and ensure proper handling of all food items. Maintain organized storage of dishes, utensils, and ingredients to promote efficiency in the kitchen. Help with light cooking tasks, including assembling salads or simple hot dishes as directed. Ensure the kitchen area remains clean, sanitized, and compliant with health regulations at all times. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with food handling, safety procedures, and basic kitchen operations is advantageous. Experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry demonstrates strong teamwork and multitasking abilities. Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering enhances your ability to support diverse culinary needs. Skills in knife handling, food preparation techniques, and cooking are highly valued. Prior kitchen experience or culinary background helps ensure confidence in supporting meal assembly and food safety standards.
