The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and food preparation areas. This position plays a critical role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring that all food service equipment is cleaned, sanitized, and available for use. The Dishwasher also assists with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while adhering to health and safety regulations. This role pays an hourly rate of $14.00.Benefits for Part-Time roles:

The Arthur R. Outlaw Mobile Convention Center is a spectacular facility providing excellent meeting accommodations. It features 317,000 gross sq. ft., including a 100,000 sq. ft. exhibit hall, and a unique design with terraces for outdoor functions and breathtaking views of the Mobile River.Responsibilities:
Wash, rinse, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, dish rooms, and storage areas. Remove trash, recyclables, and waste materials from kitchen and food service areas. Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, floors, walls, mats, and food preparation surfaces. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Organize and stock clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen supplies in designated storage areas. Support kitchen staff by maintaining an adequate supply of clean service ware during peak periods. Monitor dishwashing chemicals and notify management when supplies need replenishment. Follow workplace safety procedures and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing deliveries as assigned. Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Support opening, closing, and event-related cleaning responsibilities. Perform other kitchen support duties as assigned by management. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required. Previous dishwashing, janitorial, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience is preferred. Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply. Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation standards. Good organizational and time management skills. Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable. Must have a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred. Food Handler Certification (where required by local regulations). Experience in restaurants, hotels, catering operations, stadiums, arenas, convention centers, or other hospitality venues is a plus.
