Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and portioning food items according to recipes and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and ovens safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas including dishes, utensils, workstations, and floors to ensure a hygienic environment Support food preparation tasks by assisting with basic cooking activities under supervision Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal prep and service needs Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and portion control for consistent meal quality Assist with catering setup and serving when required, ensuring timely delivery of meals in line with menu plans Support the overall organization of the dietary department by managing supplies and ensuring equipment is properly maintained Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Food service or restaurant experience demonstrating familiarity with food handling, safety standards, and customer service principles Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods is advantageous Experience operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, ovens, or mixers is desirable Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members Understanding of food safety management practices including proper knife skills, slicing techniques, and hygiene protocols Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a fast-paced work environment Embark on a rewarding journey in the culinary world where your contributions directly impact the dining experience.
