Description:
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Dishwasher it is your responsibility to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including operating dishwashers, hand washing dishes, cleaning equipment and storing dishware.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Collect and wash all dishes, cutlery, and glasses Ensure all dishes, cutlery, and glasses are properly sanitized before further use Clean kitchen tools and appliances properly before use Clean kitchen floors, storage areas, and take out the trash Keep dish pit and storage areas clean and organized Tidying up the dining area after service ends. Moving tables and chairs as needed. Following all sanitation and safety procedures. Reporting any damages, shortages, or complaints to management. Be a self-starter, ensuring the cleanliness of the back of house and surroundings areas. Contribute to a fun, energizing, and comfortable working environment as an active member of the team. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, evenings, and weekends. Must be able to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30-lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of current service industry terminology to communicate with staff and patrons. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from the general public. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance best practices within the service industry setting. Excellent listening and follow-through abilities and a willingness to accept constructive criticism. Multi-tasking abilities, along with ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet tight deadlines. Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment and exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service and prompt problem-solving skills including the ability to provide diligent, prompt, and courteous responses to patrons' questions. Take initiative to correct and complete inadequate or incomplete work, even if it is not yours. Consistently demonstrate ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary. Minimize non-productive time and fill slow periods with activities that will enable you to prepare to meet the future needs of the company (education, organizing, housekeeping, assisting others). Consistently demonstrate ability to take the initiative to make decisions/choices without direct supervision. Adhere to organizational policies. Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness. Does not incur excessive overtime. Remain conscientious in regard to personal hygiene. Demonstrate adherence and support of company-wide service standards as evidenced by observation and feedback from visitors and clients.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs on a regular basis. At least one (1) year of experience in a restaurant setting is a plus.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is a part-time position. Days and hours of work are expected to fluctuate significantly between the operating hours of each location. Travel will be required. The position operates in a professional restaurant environment and the incumbent, in the course of performing this position, spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, driving, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), standing, sitting, walking, and reaching. The incumbent operates all standard office equipment, motor vehicles, and mobile phones. The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
