You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment by expertly handling dishwashing, food preparation, and sanitation tasks. Your dedication ensures that our kitchen upholds the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization. Responsibilities Efficiently operate commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure all cookware, utensils, and dishes are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety procedures Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, portioning ingredients, and assembling menu items under supervision Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen by regularly cleaning workstations, floors, sinks, drains and food prep areas in compliance with sanitation standards Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring dining areas are tidy and welcoming Follow proper food handling practices to prevent cross-contamination and uphold health regulations Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting of supplies and equipment safely while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment with proper training and care Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in commercial kitchens Ability to perform manual handling tasks including lifting heavy loads safely and efficiently Basic knife skills for food prep tasks; familiarity with operating kitchen equipment is a plus Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary staff Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks effectively Join us in creating a lively, safe, and clean kitchen environment where your contributions directly impact the quality of our service.
