Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Janitor/Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in multiple kitchens, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all residents. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming Maintain organization and cleanliness in dining rooms and kitchens by restocking supplies and sanitizing surfaces. Conduct floor care activities such as power washing, scrubbing, and mopping to have them well-maintained and presentable. Cleaning and sanitizing walls, countertops, stovetops, ovens, refrigerators and other kitchen equipment Assist with custodial duties including trash removal and recycling efforts. Power wash dumpster area floors and bins Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Ensure compliance with safety standards while using cleaning supplies and equipment. Provide porter services as needed, assisting with the movement of furniture or kitchen equipment during events and activities Restock cleaning supplies in all kitchens Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards Use chemicals and sanitizing solutions correctly Assist with washing dishes if needed Other duties as assigned Experience Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus. Experience in facilities maintenance will be considered an asset. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
