Part-time Position:
Dishwasher/Porter Reports to: Head Chef, Line Lead, General Manager Templeton Mercantile revives a deep sense of Templeton tradition with its casual dining experience. It offers hometown cooking with elevated and approachable cocktails, and a sophisticated coffee experience. Templeton Mercantile seeks to incorporate high-quality uppers and downers into a dining experience that stands the test of time and builds community by meeting all guests with warmth and consideration to their individual needs and desires.
Position Summary:
The dishwasher/porter position at Templeton Mercantile involves cleaning dishes to food safety standards, as well as, helping maintain the flow of the back of house including cleaning tasks and assisting in putting away food orders.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Specifically, the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions: Efficiently clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas through sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Assist in putting away orders in a timely manner following food safety guidelines. Execute cleaning tasks as delegated by the Head Chef or General Manager.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Must be 18 years of age or older Must possess a valid California Food Handler's certification Experience preferred
