The ideal candidate believes in showing up on time for work, providing other employees with assistance in the kitchen as needed and following all sanitary and health-related protocols. If you've ever dreamed of working as a Kitchen Manager or Prep Cook, this position might provide you with a great start. Job Duties Operate the industrial dishwasher Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary Empty and clean all trash receptacles restock the line and surrounding areas with clean plates, pots, pans and containers Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources Clean dish storage, sweep and mop floors as needed Follow sanitation policies at all times Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times Perform opening, closing and side work Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately Changing dish machine and 3 compartment sink water every 2 hours. Keep the loading dock clean and organized. Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that a spill or accident happens. Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans when necessary. Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting them with other tasks as needed (i.e. frying chips, making guacamole, putting braises away, etc.) Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures to direct supervisor. Perform additional cleaning duties and requested. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
