Job Description
Backwater Jacks is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. This position plays a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment while assisting with general cleaning throughout the restaurant. The ideal candidate works well in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in staying organized, and enjoys being part of a team. Responsibilities Wash dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment. Keep the dish station clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift. Empty trash and recycling as needed. Sweep and mop kitchen floors, including at the end of the shift. Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, prep areas, and workstations. Put away clean dishes, cookware, and kitchen supplies in their proper locations. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries when needed. Support the kitchen team with light prep or other tasks as assigned. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment. Qualifications No experience required—we're happy to train the right person. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented. Must be available evenings, weekends, and holidays.
