Job Description

The Golf Club of Amelia Island is seeking a full-time dishwasher to assist our busy à la Carte line and thriving banquet business.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to learn and grow in a busy culinary environment. Have strong initiative, a willingness to be a team player, and a high focus on detail. Understanding or willingness to learn of proper cleaning and sanitation procedures is required. High school or a GED is required. Weekend, Evening, and Holiday availability are required.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Job Duties:
Washes, stacks, sorts, and stores dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware. Maintains a clean kitchen and keeps the dish area clean, organized, and free of clutter. Sets up dish stations, including dishwashing machines and sinks. Sweep and mop floors at the end of the shift and as needed throughout the day. Cleans and sanitizes dry storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators. Assists in storing food deliveries as needed. Monitors trash cans throughout the shift, making sure to remove full trash cans and boxes as needed and at the end of each shift. Maintains the cleanliness of dry storage areas and the organization of storage shelves. Maintains clean work surfaces and the cleanliness of sinks, walls, drains, etc. Follows Florida sanitation and cleaning procedures. Ensures that dishwashers are in working order and reports problems as they arise. Assists with closing, including aiding in the sanitation of cooking and food preparation stations. Assists in food prep and any other duties requested by the chef and other managers as needed.
