- School Kitchen The School Gourmet | Gainesville, FL The School Gourmet is looking for a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our kitchen team at a school in Gainesville, Florida .
We prepare fresh, scratch-cooked meals for students every school day, and keeping a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen is an essential part of what we do. We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves efficiently, and enjoys being part of a team. Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, trays, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment Operate and maintain the commercial dishwashing area Keep the dish room and surrounding kitchen areas clean and organized Sweep, mop, and assist with general kitchen cleaning Empty trash and maintain proper sanitation throughout the kitchen Assist the kitchen team with basic tasks as needed Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures Help maintain a safe, positive, and professional school kitchen environment What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitation Positive attitude and willingness to help the team Ability to stand for extended periods and lift approximately 40-50 lbs. Commercial kitchen or dishwashing experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person School Employment Requirements Because this position works on-site in a school environment , the selected candidate will be required to successfully complete a background check and fingerprinting as a condition of employment.
