Duties Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines or manual methods. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste properly to uphold health standards. Sanitizing prep tables and organizing utensils in the right place. Support catering and banquet events by ensuring all serving ware is clean and ready for service. Bypass cross-contamination by following proper food handling procedures when necessary. Restock dishwashing supplies and ensure all cleaning tools are maintained in good condition. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow during busy service periods. Follow safety protocols related to chemical use and equipment operation to maintain a safe working environment. Qualifications Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential! Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy loads or moving equipment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to hygiene and cleanliness. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting colleagues in fast-paced settings. Knowledge of general kitchen operations including bussing tables, assisting with food prep, or catering experience is a plus but not mandatory. Previous hotel or banquet experience can be advantageous for those interested in event support roles within hospitality environments.
