Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Dishwasher/Food Prep specialist, where your energy and attention to detail will keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace, preparing ingredients for service, and supporting the overall food safety standards of our establishment. Your enthusiasm and dedication will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests while ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all team members. Duties Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, assembling ingredients, and portioning to support chefs and kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, and disposing of waste in accordance with sanitation standards. Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing used dishes, and resetting dining areas efficiently during service hours. Handle manual tasks including lifting heavy pots, boxes of supplies, or trash containers safely while following proper handling protocols. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, or food processors with proper training to assist in meal prep. Follow food safety management practices to ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation at all times. Requirements Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Knowledge of sanitation procedures and food safety standards is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during shifts. Basic knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment are advantageous. Excellent organizational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
