Industrial Washing Shift Supervisor (Entry-Level) Overview The Industrial Washing Shift Supervisor supports daily washing operations by leading a small team on the floor, ensuring smooth execution of cleaning processes, and maintaining basic quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who leads by example and keeps operations running efficiently during their shift. Key Responsibilities Shift Operations Operate and oversee industrial washing machines during assigned shifts Ensure items (e.g., reusable cups, containers, or equipment) are cleaned, sorted, and processed on time Follow established workflows and escalate issues to management when needed Help maintain steady throughput and avoid delays Team Support & Coordination Guide and support a small team (typically 3-8 staff) during the shift Assist with task assignments and ensure staff follow instructions Step in to support team members during busy periods Promote a positive, reliable team environment Quality & Hygiene Perform basic quality checks (cleanliness, sorting accuracy, visible defects) Ensure adherence to hygiene and safety procedures Report quality issues or recurring problems to management Equipment Handling Safely operate washing machines and related equipment Perform basic troubleshooting (e.g., jams, resets, simple fixes) Report technical issues or maintenance needs Health & Safety Follow and reinforce safety guidelines and proper use of PPE Ensure safe handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment Maintain a clean and organized work area Logistics & Flow Support the flow of items in and out of the washing area Coordinate informally with drivers or logistics teams on timing Help track basic counts (e.g., loads processed, items washed)
