Job Description

Overview Join our team as a Dishwasher, where your role is vital in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. As a Dishwasher, you will ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are fully clean and ready for service, supporting the culinary team by collecting and retrieving food as well as preparing some side dishes during service. My two musts for the kitchen are respect and communication. Duties Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly to meet health standards. Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations and ensure all areas are organized and stocked with necessary supplies. Assist with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, or portioning ingredients when needed to support kitchen operations. Support bussing duties by collecting dishes and silverware from the front of house. Handle food handling responsibilities in accordance with safety regulations to prevent contamination or spoilage. Aid in catering and banquet setups by providing clean serving ware and assisting with basic food prep tasks. Follow proper cleaning procedures for kitchen appliances and surfaces to uphold sanitation standards at all times. Skills Moderate understanding of food service operations with experience in restaurant, hotel, or catering environments. Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices. Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks such as bussing tables or assisting with light cooking when necessary. Experience with banquet service or large-scale catering is a plus. Organizational skills to keep workstations clean and supplies well-stocked. Team-oriented with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers. Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary support roles and hospitality standards while working in a fast-paced environment.
