In this role, you will be essential in maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while assisting with food preparation and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your energetic approach will help keep the kitchen running smoothly, supporting our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills and gain valuable experience in food handling, safety, and kitchen operations. Responsibilities Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards. Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following recipe guidelines. Support the culinary team by preparing ingredients for meal service, including slicing techniques and portion control. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to food safety management practices and safety standards in production. Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances safely and correctly. Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff through clear communication to support meal prep, menu planning, and catering needs. Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or culinary experience is a plus. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and sanitation practices required. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely including dishwashers, slicers, knives, and other culinary tools. communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and ensure smooth operations.
