Job Description

Position Summary The Dishwasher & Kitchen Assistant is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen while providing support to the kitchen team with food preparation, ingredient organization, and general kitchen duties. This position plays a vital role in ensuring efficient kitchen operations by keeping equipment clean, workstations stocked, and assisting with daily production needs. Key ResponsibilitiesDishwashing & Sanitation Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, baking equipment, and kitchen tools. Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain clean dishwashing stations and ensure proper sanitation procedures are followed. Empty trash and recycling throughout the day. Clean floors, sinks, drains, refrigerators, freezers, and kitchen surfaces. Follow all food safety and health department regulations. Kitchen Assistance Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, portioning, and packaging ingredients. Label, date, and organize food products and supplies. Stock kitchen stations with ingredients, containers, and supplies. Receive and properly store deliveries. Help organize dry storage, refrigerators, and freezers. Assist kitchen staff with production setup and cleanup. General Duties Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Report equipment maintenance or safety concerns to management. Follow company recipes, procedures, and sanitation standards. Assist with special projects and additional kitchen tasks as assigned. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure daily production goals are met. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous kitchen, restaurant, bakery, or food service experience is a plus but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. Attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail. Food Handler Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain). Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Bend, reach, squat, and perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in wet, hot, and cold environments. Ability to safely operate commercial kitchen equipment. Schedule Full-time position available. May include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

From $15.00 per hour
